This is a great go-to bit for horses that need a little more control. It features a gag shank that has cheeks that allow the mouthpiece to move forward when the reins are pulled. This gives the horse time to think before the mouthpiece tightens. The sweet iron mouthpiece is intended to rust, causing salivation and therefore makes a more supple feeling mouth.
