Introducing Legend, the newest and youngest addition to the KHP's equine team! Joined in 2021, he's partnered with Officer Rakow. According to Captain Rakes, Legend is "cool, composed, and has a gentle nature, making him an excellent ambassador for the Kentucky Horse Park." As a Drum Horse, he comes from a mix of Clydesdale, Shire, and Gypsy Vanner bloodlines. His name is inspired by his medicine hat and shield markings, believed to provide protection according to Native American legend - a perfect fit for an equine officer!
